Getting bored this summer, let’s play maths and win 25,000 to Rs. 500,000. It seems to be first of its kind online mathematics contest in Pakistan “Mathlete, Let’s play maths” that is designed to raise the interest for mathematics among people of all ages especially for the children.
The contest is also meant to increase the IQ level of the participants. The competition is being run under the umbrella of Association For Academic Quality (AFAQ) and Future Biz Technologies.
As I am writing these lines, more than 300 participants have played the level 1 of this competition and their names along with their ranks are displayed online.The contest comprises on three phases with Phase 1 being practiced online has been started from June 15 that will end on July 17th. After going through the Phase 2 in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad which is also called the “on ground screening, the competition will end after Phase 3 has been completed by July 30th in Lahore.
Anyone can take part in this online contest by just creating an account and charging a Rs. 100 card which is available at 200 selected TCS outlets across the country.
